Its accompanying collection features quilting, graphics and a gradient rainbow bandana print to represent diversity across apparel, headwear and the label’s numerous iconic shoe styles, including the Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star, All Star Slide and One Star. Currently, customizable Chuck Taylor All Star High, Low, and Platform silhouettes are also available on the brand’s Converse By You platform, where shoppers can personalize the styles’ patches, plates and laces inspired by various LGBTQIA+ community flags. Sperry’s 2021 Pride collection features six shoes in women’s and unisex silhouettes, including boat shoes, lace-up sneakers and slip-ons.
This season, Converse is shining a light on the LGBTQIA+ community’s “chosen families: allies and others met on individuals’ journeys to acceptance. The sneaker brand has partnered with over 50 international young creatives for a new campaign, “Found Family,” which aims to share LGBTQIA+ support and love by telling each person’s story through mediums like art, photographs and letters in a digital gallery on Converse’s website - plus photography by artist Richie Shazam.
